I installed this card in my Dell XPS, replacing my 8300GS and wow what an improvement. Games like Lord of the Rings Online and Battlefield 2 look much much better.
Been using for over a year now, it works great for games & I use it mainly for dual display setup.
Got this for $60, but I am returning it because it makes such an annoying noise with the small fan spinning. The 3D performance on HL2 is decent at medium resolutions (1280x760).The noise is actually painful to my ears, because of the high pitch and the performance is only so-so.You better off spending two or three times as much for an 8800GT. http://www.amazon.com/e-GeForce-512MB-PCI-E-Graphics-512-P3-N801-AR/dp/B0010T8XFY/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3.ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1217618288&sr=8-3if you are building an economy PC then get this power Supply to go with your 8800GT http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0009Q56N6/ref=ord_cart_shr.%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&v=glance
I purchased this for my son's computer to play Tabula Rasa on a Windows Vista system. Five minutes from in the box to up and running. It has exceeded my expectations. I had heard of many problems people have had with new hardware installations and Vista, so I was ready for a bit of frustration, but it was easy to install. It's running Tabula Rasa beautifully, and the price was right. I see other reviewers mentioning fan noise, I have not had a problem with this.
The card was delivered promptly and works much better then my old card, I am totally satisfied with this purchase
